HIGHWAY GARAGE SOLAR ARRAY

As of August 2025, the Town Highway Garage is now home to a new solar array. After completing numerous actions through the Clean Energy Communities Program, the Town secured sufficient grant funding to finance the installation. The solar array is sized to fully offset the energy costs of the Highway Garage, resulting in annual savings for the Town. Additionally, the garage roof has the capacity to accommodate future solar panels, which could eventually allow renewable energy to offset the energy costs of all municipal buildings—helping to reduce operating expenses and keep taxes low.
